Borough Government Contributions
Gannett Fleming was a major contributor to the February issue of Pennsylvania
Borough News, the magazine for Pennsylvania's borough governments.
Staff writers and topics are as follows:
- Fran Albright of our Pittsburgh office wrote an
article entitled "Watershed Management Offers Municipalities a Solution
to Wet Weather Pollution Problems." The piece advises municipalities on
how to comprehensively deal with runoff and combined sewer overflow
problems.
- Steve Rowley of our Lancaster office wrote an article
entitled "Municipalities Benefit from Environmental Management
Systems." Steve has performed Environmental Management System
(EMS) evaluations on numerous municipal and industrial facilities.
Considering the growing concern with environmental standards and the advent
of ISO 14001, Steve advocates that an EMS is an effective tool for
managing all environmental aspects of municipal operations.
- Dick Koch of our Harrisburg office co-authored
"Controlling Towers and Wireless Facilities... Yes, You
Can." In this article, Dick describes a program in which
Gannett Fleming and its partner firms can help municipalities control the
proliferation and identification of telecommunications facilities.
